Offering his oratorio Nunc licet for performance at the 1932 Worcester Musical Festival--"it is full of grand tunes and grand effects" and "will be unprecedently [sic] cheap to perform"--, sending [not present] the words to a "'vocal concerto', a sort of oratorio without choir," etc.; at the top of p. 1 is a note in Atkins's hand declining the work.
